November’s pick is The Mountain Story, by: Lori Lansens
It’s a survival tale, and about family relationships. Two things that are more important as ever right now. I also chose this book because learning how to survive in the wilderness is something any hiker might be faced with, and the PNW is having a high number of rescues as the season changes and winter weather sets in.

*I always recommend trying to find a copy at your local library, or a small local business or bookstore, like Village Books in Bellingham. Please reach out if you’re having trouble finding or getting a copy of any of the books I choose.
Coming soon: This month’s hike, TBA via the FB group!
Heads up- I am thinking to switch to a quarterly selection process soon. Expect one more winter book before then.
Happy reading and safe shoulder season adventuring!
